Insemination Pregnancy Single Mother by Choice

Let’s Make a Fuckin Baby!

April 6, 2019

It’s about that time to make a baby. Even though I’m prepped for this, it’s so fucking weird to say that. It’s weird to think that this time next month, I could be pregnant. That this time next year, I could have a 3-month-old.

I am trying the first two vials at home because I feel like it’s a more comfortable environment, it can a little more similar to a “normal” experience in my own bed vs. a sterile doctors office. The woman at the cryobank recommended 2 vials back to back. Basically, like any couple realizing they’re in ovulation and screwing like rabbits for 4 days in a row. Just me and a Mosie Baby syringe, haha.

Nitrogen filled tank holding sperm vials

It will be delivered this Monday, April 8th, by the stork a.k.a. FedEx. A cryotank will show up in a box, sealed, with frozen baby making juice inside. How and when I do it depends on my ovulation tests. I will start testing Sunday to gauge where I’m at in my cycle. According to my period app, I should ovulate Wednesday and showing signs of fertility on Monday. As you saw, last cycle I had like 7 days so, I’m much more relaxed now that my app seems to be on schedule.

I planned to do 1 vial one day, and one the next or day after that. So Monday + Wednesday, or Tuesday + Wednesday. All depending on what the test says. It still baffles my mind that sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days. Like what the fuck is it doing it? Just swimming around aimlessly waiting? Haha! However, this ups the chances of me getting pregnant.

Mosie Baby at home insemination kit

I was searching at home insemination kits when I found Mosie Baby. I am so glad I did. A typical syringe has a point at the end. If you’ve ever used one for medicine or anything, you know that shit gets left behind in that tip. Well, baby juice is fucking expensive, I don’t want ANY of it left behind. The Mosie Baby syringe was created specifically for this. It’s the same size as a tampon so it’s comfortable, familiar and effective. The rounded tip and plunger make sure that the least amount of sperm is left behind, and there are no harsh edges, unlike regular syringes, so it’s perfectly comfortable and provides the best insemination.

So cross your fingers and send all the baby dust this way! I will post about the process in detail after it’s done. Stay tuned! In the meantime, if you’re trying to conceive on your own, check out Mosie Baby!

UPDATE 4/6: It showed up early, on Friday, April 5th! Now that it was delivered early, I am starting to test daily. I tested Friday and it was “not fertile.” According to my period app, my fertile window starts today, but this morning I also tested “not fertile”. Follow me on Instagram for the most updates.
